Vice president of specialty incentives

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES


The Vice President of Specialty Incentives will lead all teams responsible for the processing of State Tax Credits, R&D, Solar and other special incentive tax programs. This person will be responsible for developing our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strategic and tactical plans as well as the execution and metrics to track the overall success of each tax credit program. They will work closely with our COO of WOTC to facilitate a universal process for customer evaluation and all process flow so that consideration is given for every tax incentive program for each customer. This is a leadership position which requires extensive knowledge of tax incentive programs, and financial compliance principles. 


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


●      Develop a division of operational excellence in the processing of State Tax Credit, R&D, and Special Tax Incentives.

●      Lead the State Tax Credit, R&D and Special Incentives Tax Credit Teams to ensure each division is achieving independent success in each division as well as           working collaboratively.

●      Orchestrate and oversee qualifications processes that ensure each Credit Division is following IRS and State compliance guidelines, producing high quality             reporting, and excellent customer communications.

●      Develop internal processes for operational flow to ensure customers are considered for all tax credit programs appropriately and based on their business                 type/location.

●      Oversee the implementation of technology to improve current infrastructure and drive big picture strategy into the day-to-day operations.

●      Develop standards for qualification reports and service/product delivery.

●      Develop customer care and communications programs.

●      Provide customer facing leadership to deliver/explain tax credit findings, claims, etc.

●      Institute a best practice processes approach that will benefit a scaling business and provide benefit to other areas of the business reliant on our Specialized             Tax Organization.

●      Drive an atmosphere of accountability.

●      Develop meaningful business metrics to monitor success rates and predict revenue outcomes.

●      Analyze and report out business trends and provide recommendations to the Executive team.

●      Ability to scale organization based on anticipated demand.

●      Make technology and process recommendations to improve efficiencies and product/service quality.

●      Support sales and marketing as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) as needed. 





REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


●      Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.

●      10+ years tax credit processing or related financial experience.

●      5 -10+ years of operational leadership experience.

●      CPA required.

●      The ability to work well with Federal Agencies (IRS, SSA, DHS, DOL) and state agencies to ensure sound filings and compliance.
