How It Works: 4 Remote I-9 Completion Options

For qualifying employers that require a remote verification process, take advantage of our 4 completion options that offer both in-person and remote verification:

Employee-Chosen

Your employees get to choose their own Completer for Section 2 & Section 3 completion and/or re-verification of Form I-9. Employees can designate any person you allow as their Section 2 Completer. The Completer will be notified via email about completing or re-verifying the I-9 form. 

Clear I-9 Third-Party Completer Networks (N3)

Access a national network of remote I-9 agents trained on completing the I-9 in our system. As the employer, you can assign the employee to our third-party Completer Network from an established network of 3,500 I-9 professionals across the nation. The Completer will connect with your employee at a location of their choosing for Section 2 & 3 completion and/or re-verification.

Employer-Chosen / Employer-Provided Third-Party Completer Networks 

Want to DIY the verification process, or go through a Third-Party Completer of your choosing? This option allows you to choose your own Section 2 Completer for Section 2 & Section 3 completion and/or re-verification. 


You can choose to have a member of your team at another location act as the Completer and meet the new employee to complete the process. Or you can choose to supply your own third-party Completer in the employee’s region to have them complete the verification process in person.

Clear I-9 Virtual Completer Networks 

If your business is entirely remote, this option is for you! The Clear I-9 Virtual Completer Networks option allows your employee to choose a day or time to meet with a virtual reviewer from a network of 5,000 I-9 professionals for Section 2 & Section 3 completion and/or re-verification. Note, that this option is only available for E-Verify clients.
